It says used along with core text? Is there something else to purchase with the WWE Level 2

Answer Desk –
No, there is nothing else to purchase. Thanks for noting that in the description, we will have to adjust the wording.

Thought of another question: Are these books (all versions and levels) supposed to be supplements to other material or are they enough to stand alone? Thanks again

They can stand alone!

I have a 4th and 2nd grader. My 4th grader is way more comfortable with writing than my 2nd. Do I need 2 levels? Level 2 and 3?

Question
Michelle –
How does the WWE level 2 revised edition differ from the original version?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Answer Desk –
It has an optional fifth lesson in creative writing each week! The creative writing lesson is based on the same passage used for the other four lessons, but can be skipped with no harm done.
The cover of the book has also been changed to be more playful, bright, and colorful, which some kids really like.

Question
Talitha –
How much poetic form does Level 2 cover? Is the course using poetry as dictation/ copy work only or does it begin to analyze structure with the student?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Answer Desk –
Beyond copy work and dictation, the main focus is teaching the student to identify the central themes and central narrative threads in the poem. Structure is touched upon very lightly by introducing proper form for lines of poetry: each line begins with a capital letter, there is often no punctation at the end of the first line, lines are indented.

Brandi –
Does this go along with writing with ease 2?

Answer Desk (verified owner) –
This product page is for the original version of Writing with Ease, Level 2. It contains everything you need for one year of instruction (teacher instructions, reading passages, student pages). It is only available in PDF, although we currently do still have some Student Pages if you don’t want to print them.
Click here if you’d like to see the Revised version. Again, this will contain everything you need for the year, although you can buy an extra set of Student Pages if you have another child or simply don’t want to pull them out of your book.
The biggest difference to the Revised version is that an optional fifth day with a creative writing lesson has been added to each week (but the original and revised versions are not compatible).
If you need more information, or help choosing, please email [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help you.
