$31.95$33.11

Newly revised, Writing With Ease 2, Complete provides lessons, student worksheets, and teacher instructions for a school year's worth of elementary writing instruction.

Product Overview

Newly revised and updated for ease of use! When used along with the core text, Writing With Ease Complete Level 2 provides teacher instruction plus all of the copywork assignments, comprehension questions, and reading passages needed for a year of writing instruction.

Using passages and sentences from classic children’s literature, Writing With Ease Complete Level 2, Revised Edition allows young writers to practice their skills, learning how to turn thoughts into written sentences while absorbing the style and grace of great authors. Charming illustrations by Jeff West add a visual element that will spark your child’s imagination.

Writing With Ease Complete Level 2 is divided into 36 weeks of instruction with four lessons per week (plus an optional creative-writing lesson at the end of each week!) and includes an Instructor Section and consumable Student Pages. Detailed directions and scripted dialogue with suggested student responses in every lesson allow parents to teach with confidence.

It has an optional fifth lesson in creative writing each week! The creative writing lesson is based on the same passage used for the other four lessons, but can be skipped with no harm done.

The cover of the book has also been changed to be more playful, bright, and colorful, which some kids really like.

  3. Question

    Talitha

How much poetic form does Level 2 cover? Is the course using poetry as dictation/ copy work only or does it begin to analyze structure with the student?

Beyond copy work and dictation, the main focus is teaching the student to identify the central themes and central narrative threads in the poem. Structure is touched upon very lightly by introducing proper form for lines of poetry: each line begins with a capital letter, there is often no punctation at the end of the first line, lines are indented.
