Question
Christina Tawney –
What is new about this revised edition? Does it contain all the same stories/copywork/dictation from the first edition or did they change? I have been using the first edition for 15 years and I like it. I my original copy for teacher’s notes and examples and only buy the PDF for use with my student. Can I still do that or will l need to buy a whole new teacher’s edition?

Answer Desk –
Many customers were requesting a book that combined expository and creative writing lessons, so the Revised Edition now has an optional creative-writing lesson at the end of each week. It’s arranged so that the creative writing lesson follows the same theme and passage for the week, so everything flows, yet the creative writing lesson can be skipped without harm.
Week 14 has a different reading passage, so that won’t match. Other passages are the same, but the addition of the 5th day means that the page references will not match (when the teacher instructions say to use Student Page 46, that won’t be accurate and you’ll have to flip through to the correct page).
With those caveats, it is possible to use the Revised Student Pages with the Original Edition, barring Week 14.
Note: edited to make the information about page references clearer.
