Product Overview
Our customers spoke and we listened! The result of several years of fine-tuning customer suggestions and feedback, The Ordinary Parent's Guide to Teaching Reading, Revised Edition has been split into an Instructor Book and a Student Book.
The Student Book is child-friendly and visually appealing, starting with just one letter per page in uppercase and lowercase (we even show the common variations for letters that can be written in more than one way), and working up to full sentences and paragraphs. It includes only the text that the student needs, so that they can focus on reading instead of being distracted by the instructor's text.
With this Student Book and the required Instructor Book, parents will be able to take their children from the basics all the way to a fourth-grade reading level.

Please change the font, so that a capital I and a lower case l are not exactly the same shape. This is something that can easily be picked up as readers progress, but is an unnecessary distraction at this stage. Pictures might also be a nice addition, but otherwise a solid, helpful book.

We just switched to this program after having some struggles with first grade phonics clicking with another program. So far it’s going great. However, the font used in the students book is frustrating. The capital i and lowercase L are exactly the same…(Il) and the question mark used was an odd choice. I’ve never seen any shape like that in all my years reading books.
