Shop Volume 3: Early Modern Times

From Elizabeth the First to the Forty-niners, dive into Early Modern Times in Volume 3 of The Story of the World. Did Louis XIV really gain the throne at four years old, and why was he called the Sun King? Who rode with Paul Revere? Why were Peter and Catherine so Great?
The text can be used as a read aloud for elementary students or as independent reading for students in the middle grades. Pick up the Audiobook for car trips (or listen to Raffi yet again, that’s up to you).

Turn it into a full-year curriculum with the accompanying Activity Book (newly revised and updated in 2020!), which provides coloring pages, map exercises, review questions, curated reading lists for both fiction and nonfiction, research ideas, and fun crafts and projects (keep it simple and practice letters from the Persian alphabet, or go all in and build a model of the Bridge of Thirty-three Arches, your choice).

Parents of older students (third grade and up) can use the written tests to evaluate progress, with multiple-choice, short answer, and essay questions for each chapter.
