The Audiobook brings history to life with this spirited reading of The Story of the World Volume 2: The Middle Ages by renowned narrator Jim Weiss. Save time by listening on the road or while preparing dinner, or let it lull the children to sleep at bedtime.

Product Overview

This spirited and unabridged reading of Susan Wise Bauer’s The Story of the World Volume 2: The Middle Ages brings to life the stories and records of the peoples of the Middle Ages, covering the major historical events from the fall of Rome through the rise of the Renaissance. Read by Jim Weiss, it can be enjoyed independently, read along with the text, or used as a supplement to a traditional history curriculum.

Consider this: it’s almost time for lunch, your toddler is attempting to scale the mountain of laundry that hides the washing machine, and little Sally wants you to read her the chapter about the Viking Invasion again. Do you really want to hinder her thirst for history? Of course not! But what about lunch? And that laundry won’t wash, dry, and fold itself . . . No problem! Let Jim Weiss take it from here. He can read to your kids when you can’t!

Do the Kindle versions of the book have the black and white photos described ?

  2. Ms. Arrowood

Is there an MP3 for each chapter? I want to be able to link to each file/chapter from Evernote as they are assigned.

  3. Nicole

I want to get the mp3’s but feel we will miss the pictures in the book. would the activity book or coloring pages have most of the pictures from the book?

  4. Kasia

How many CDs are in the set?

  5. Maureen Marullo

Does the MP3 match up to the Revised Edition textbook? I primarily use the textbook but want to supplement with the MP3 when we’re on the road.

  6. Brandee Kandle

I have the 2003 version of the text. Should I track down an older set of the CD’s or will the MP3’s work well with the pre-revised text?

I own the entire series in both audio and paperback versions. I used the audiobooks in my homeschool for elementary and again in Middle School grades. My children LOVE them and are retaining history!!!
