Some are and some aren’t! This book has 60 coloring pages. 30 of them are brand-new. The other 30 have appeared in various Activity Books before.

No, it features a total of sixty coloring pages inspired by scenes in all four volumes: thirty of the best coloring pages from the Activity Books of the series, improved and sharpened for better quality, as well as thirty brand-new coloring pages created by artist Jeff West, whose illustrations have graced our books since 2007.

The back of each page includes a description to give historical context and explanation, as well as a reference for the volume and chapter of The Story of the World where you and your family can learn more about each person, place, or event.

Wherever possible, these coloring pages are based on the actual artifacts, buildings, photographs, and portraits of their subjects.

Yes! It has images that relate to the content of all four books. There are 60 images in total: about 15 for each volume of “the Story of the World.”

  5. Question

    Sonja Grabel (verified owner)

Is there somewhere I can find which coloring pages match with which chapters? My child is doing the audiobook version (bought on Audible) of The Story of Our World and I want her to color as she listens because coloring helps her focus. But, since I don’t have a paper version of the book, it is hard for me to know exactly which images match with which chapters. Since she is doing this mostly on her own, I need to have them labeled so she knows which picture to color.

On the back of each coloring page is a caption that describes the image. At the end of that caption, it says which volume of SOTW and which chapter of that volume the image comes from. So for instance, on the back of the fourth coloring page (the Olmec Statue), it has a description and then it says “Volume 1, Chapter 26.”
The narrator of the Audible chapters says aloud the chapter-number at the start of each chapter.
