Contents
The Workbook contains two parts: the Instructor Section and the Student Pages.
The Instructor Section is divided into 36 weeks of instruction with four lessons per week. You get detailed directions and scripted dialogue with suggested student responses in every lesson, so you can teach with confidence!
The Student Pages are the consumable portion of the workbook given to the student for their writing assignment. Perforated for easy removal, the Student Pages have plenty of lined space for your student’s writing. (These included pages are the same as the pages we also sell separately: Level 3 Student Pages.)
Do you have more than one student? When you purchase the Workbook, you have permission to copy (or print from the PDF) the Student Pages as many times as you need for use within your own family. But if you want to keep your Workbook intact, or to save yourself the trouble of lugging it to Kinko’s, you can simply purchase an additional set of Level 3 Student Pages.
Available Format
Choose either: Downloadable PDF or Paperback
Your purchased, downloadable files are always accessible for redownload, whenever you need them, in your Well-Trained Mind account.

Question
I have a daughter in 2nd grade right now, and we started with WWE Level 1 this year, but it is WAY easy for her. I wanted to start here because the curriculum we used in 1st grade I believe missed out on a lot of the basics. But now here we are, and I’m not sure how to proceed. Should I just finish out the year in Level 1 and then skip level 2 altogether and jump to level 3 in the fall? Or should I do level 2 first? I don’t want her to skip over important concepts, but I feel like I’m wasting her time since she already knows a lot of what we’re doing, and is already excellent in her penmanship.

She should be fine to go to Level 3.

Question
My 6th grade son is homeschooling for the first time this year. He has a good basic concept of grammar and can write pretty well. Should I start him at Writing with Ease 3 or Writing with Skill 1? We won’t have time to finish the whole book of either this year since it is already mid-november. Thank you for any guidance!

It sounds like he would be good to start with Writing with Skill, Level 1. There is no problem with not finishing the book this year; you can simply pick up where you left off next year (don’t skip the end of the book and move on to Level 2, it is important to work through the series as written). The pacing is a general guide, and some students will progress faster or slower. When you get the books, make sure to read the Introduction in the instructor text for general teaching guidance.
