The History of the Ancient World: From the Earliest Accounts to the Fall of Rome

Bring history to life with this compelling narrative approach! From the creation of the first empires to the fall of Rome, learn about the events and people of ancient times. Ideal as the spine for advanced high school history studies, this book also makes compelling reading for adults interested in the grand sweep of history.

Map Supplement to the Study Guide for the History of the Ancient World

Print the maps found in the The History of the Ancient World with this downloadable PDF. The Study Guide calls for the maps to be traced, but the Map Supplement adds convenience, particularly for those using an electronic copy of the study guide.

Product Overview

Designed for use by both parents and teachers, this Study & Teaching Guide provides a full curriculum with study questions and answers, teaching tips, critical thinking assignments, essay topics, instructor rubrics, and map exercises (which require tracing from the text; if your book is in Kindle format, or you wish to save time, get the Map Supplement). Includes Instructor Section and perforated Student Pages.

This guide makes our narrative history even more accessible, so much so that in 30 years your high-schoolers won?t remember who asked whom to the prom, but they WILL remember who Hammurabi was. (Not a guarantee, and it is unlikely that they will remember more than 100 of the 282 rules in his code of laws).

I really like this! Are all three books together considered one credit of high school ancient or world history? Will you be making an audio for the Renaissance and Ancient books also?

  2. Kathryn Hill

Is this series designed to go well with Story of the World? I would love to keep my younger and older kids working together. Would all my kids be able to discuss similar topics together? Thank you so much!

  3. Natalia Aponte

How much of this book is covered in one school year?

  4. Jessie Stimpson

Does the PDF version of this study and teaching guide contain the maps? Or would we need to purchase the PDF map packet?

  5. Kimberly Frazier

We bought the study guide and I am wondering if there will be “student pages” to buy that would replace the student section if they are consumed?

    • Help Desk

The Student Pages are not consumed as they are in some other books. They are not worksheets but assignments that the student can complete on any paper or device.

Love the material. Only drawback is not being able to purchase additional, stand-alone student pages for subsequent students. Seems like that would be a key selling point to homeschool families. Wasteful to purchase whole book for subsequent students.
