  • Navy Admiral Grace Hopper, the quotable computer genius who led the way into the age of high technology
  • Langston Hughes, whose belief in possibilities drove him to overcome racism and write immortal poetry
  • Nellie Bly, the pioneering woman journalist whose breathtaking adventures literally took her around the world
  • Charles Steinmetz, the scientific genius with a giant heart lodged in a body four feet tall
  • Harry Truman, whose boyhood readings in history later guided his own history-making decisions as President of the United States.

These stories will have you shaking your head in wonder at the vast (and vastly entertaining) variety of ways in which humans can strive for greatness.

  1. Question

What is the difference between the updated edition and the original edition (other than the cover art)? Thank you!

    • Most of the tracks are the same. The Nellie Bly story changed a little bit, and the Langston Hughes chapter got shortened by a minute or so.

    Question

What do they mean by “audiobook format”? I ordered this and now realize that it’s the only one I ordered that doesn’t say it’s a CD, it just says audiobook. I’m assuming it’s a cd, but does anyone know?

Yes, sorry, that’s a little confusing. The one that says “Audiobook” is a CD. The option that says MP3 is a downloadable (digital) product.
