Carolyn Lunger –
I used WWE and Fll with several of my kids. Two of those kids are at UC Berkeley and reading and writing are their strongest skills. One of them scored the highest score you can get in her state test for ELA. I definitely attribute it to WWE and FLL. For the creative writing stuff and the writing prompts required by state we used 4 Square method and Creative Writing. So they used several types of programs for ELA
One child is heading to SF state and creative writing is her strength. Two other girls did well trained mind before the workbooks came out and one is a nurse and other is a paralegal.
I have two more left. These last two have special needs and I needed to do other stuff with them at first but with my 12 years old I can do FLL 4 and WWE 1 with him now. He is really enjoying them this year and learning a lot.
I am doing FLL1 with my youngest one who is 9 but modifying it for him a bit using the So Happy to Learn method.
