Product Overview

In Bible Stories: Great Men & Women From Noah Through Solomon, Jim Weiss brings his skill at dramatic storytelling to these ancient tales of faith, courage, and wisdom. Eight of the most compelling characters in the Old Testament come to life as real people with both ordinary and extraordinary struggles.

A Note From the Author: Thirty years ago, when I set out on my lifetime mission of telling the greatest stories I knew from world literature and history, one of my first recordings was Tales from the Old Testament. And while it has remained enormously popular, and I love the stories and people in it, time and a great deal of thought have caused me to reflect in additional ways about these extraordinary stories, the people in them, and their relationships with each other and with G-d. At the same time, I found myself drawn to some additional people and incidents that had escaped my original focus. Thus, for years I have wanted to revisit the Bible, and what it has come to mean to me. Here, three decades after that first recording, is the result: Bible Stories: Great Men and Women from Noah to Solomon. I think it is a recording I could not have made more than a quarter of a century ago, and I think you and your family will enjoy this exploration of stories that form one of the foundations of our world.
